Zeroing In On the Twitter Button
With the overnight success of the social media networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Delicious, Digg and Flickr etc., it was always apparent that it won’t be too long before these fanatically followed services would reside in any website that we visit. To support this purpose in an even propelling manner, most of these services have devised the idea of integrating their services in the daily routine websites in the form of simple push buttons. One such exaggerated effort has been put forth by one of the world’s leading social networking site Twitter. The button presented by Twitter is used for recommending the liked/preferred content form any website to your friends and the process is known as ‘tweeting’ or ‘twitting’.
Most of the web surfers are already into Twitter without any shadow of a doubt and the trend of tweeting is palpably on the rise. All this is indeed made possible by the simple solitary ‘Tweet” button that you ought to find on the visited website among the bevy of at least a dozen of buttons presented by similar websites to help promote quality content on the internet. The installation procedure of the Twitter button is fairly simple and it can be easily found under the “add new” function that sits under the “plugins” menu in your web browser’s dashboard sidebar. Once you activate the plugin, you can easily see the Twitter Button on the top-right corner of every post you submit on your blogs, activities and online forums.

A relatively novice web user might wonder about the number count that appears before (actually on top) of their Twitter Button. Well, to simply the mystery, the number actually represents the exact number of people that have tweeted on that particular post which you are currently standing on. Once you click on the “Tweet” Button yourself, the number count increments by one. Thus, the number count keeps on accumulating till the users from all over the world keep tweeting on it. The higher the word count on the Twitter Button, the more the website (or a particular webpage) is being liked and shared by the people.
For the utmost convenience of the users, the URL (or the web link) of the favored website that they prefer to share with others automatically gets pasted on the Twitter field. Obviously, to share some particular link, the users are required to log in to their Twitter account so that the Twitter Button could be utilized to its actual essence. It is expected quite eagerly that as further advancements are made on the technological front and as the social media networking really gets inoculated into our daily lives intensely, we would get to see better and enhanced features in the Twitter Button. Already, there have been massive efforts put into integrating the Twitter services into our electronic handhelds and gadgets. Whatever the scenario might be, you a bound to expect a Twitter Button on your latest iPhone even if it carries no other third party application.

The twitter tweet button seems to be everywhere now, just like the facebook button. It is becoming rare to find a site or post without them. One thing I like about the code is it is very easy to figure out and add. There is also the twitter follow me button, but I don’t see it nearly as much as the tweet button. It is equally as easy to figure out and add.

When people understand better about Twitter, its impossible to stop using it. For webmasters and people who love to shop online, twitter has become an essential tool. If online shopping people are not using it,then they are really missing out big deals and promo’s by many product vendors.
Great article btw.
Cheers.

Installing Twitter buttons on a website is very easy, especially on blog or other CMS. I think re-tweet buttons are also very important. I have all possible social networking and syndication buttons on my blog, twitter, Facebook like and Google plus.
These buttons have their place and can be helpful. I’m wondering when it will end, though? There are so many web properties and more becoming major all the time, all with their own buttons and such. Only the strong social networking sites will survive long term.
