Why search engines using Adwords and what are their purposes?
Search engines literally don’t use Adwords. Maybe they mean SEO campaigns

Actually there are different search engines in the internet….and every search engine needs to get more visitors. Well you can see the ads of Ask.com, DeepWebTech when you search for search engine in Google itself. On top of that the niche search engine will include PDF Search engine, Music Search Engine, Lyrics Search Engine, file search etc. So they use Adwords
Didn’t know that sites related with shopping were dominating in this field.
