The Ultimate SEO Link Building Search Operators
Finding viable, quality websites which might then link to your own website is often a laborious and difficult process. With such a complex and vast medium, it’s difficult not to feel overloaded when trawling through pages on the net trying to find link building opportunities of any real sustenance. However, as any regular web-user will now tell you, there’s now only one way to find what you’re truly looking for on the internet – search engines. And while Google’s recent Farmer Panda update might have done all it could to try and prevent you from affecting its ‘natural’ search engine results – the following article is meant to show how Google is actually one of the most vital tools in your SEO armoury. When used properly, search operators are an ideal method for filtering good opportunities from poor ones.
So – here it is, a list of my top 10 search operators:
1. INURL:- “write for us” OR “write for me” + KEYWORD
This is ideal for finding opportunities for guest posts in your specific industry.
2. “contribute to this site” OR “contribute to our site” + KEYWORD
Again, ideal for guest post opportunities.
3. INURL:guest-post + KEYWORD
As above.
4. INTITLE:”news” [KEYWORD]
This is useful for finding news sites associated with your industry.
5. “my guest posts”
Finds several pages of places where guest posts are accepted.
6. INTITLE:“infographics” [KEYWORD]
If you use infographics as ‘link bait’ then these operators are ideal.
7. INTITLE:”widgets” [KEYWORD]
For those who use widgets as ‘link bait’.
8. INTITLE:“forum” [KEYWORD]
Ideal for finding industry specific forums where posting links could be ideal.
9. INTITLE:“directory” [KEYWORD]
Good for industry directories.
10. INURL:.org [KEYWORD]
Useful for finding high quality sites specific to your niche.
And how do I know it works? How do you think I found this site?
