Social Networking Map for 2010
Sorry guys! I have not been able to update the blog much since my life has been going through a rough patch but you will see me back rolling in a few days. I would like to thank all the people who have been supporting me by visiting the blog even though it is not being updated frequently. I would also like to thank the guest bloggers who kept the blog alive with their great posts. Thanks for the kind gesture.
Well, in this post I just wanted to share with you an excellent and interesting infographic that I came across. This infographic is quite unique. It shows a map of the Online Communities according to their size. You will enjoy looking at this map and also will gain a lot of information regarding new as well as old social networking sites and their sizes (i.e. the amount of users they have). Go and explore the map of the social networking world.

I didn’t know that there are many more social networking sites like Friendster, Habbo and Bebo. Thanks to these sites, it is now possible for people to meet, regardless of their location, race, and other known barriers. The future of human kind in the Internet age looks bright – “Like it or not, a revolution of some kind is brewing”.
really great infographic, everything is covered in the world(Facebook refers to Asia which is Biggest Continent). Thnx for sharing

Nice representation. I haven’t tried habbo. I don’t know that it’s bigger than twitter.

I too did not know about that until I realized through this Map. It seems the media is just not giving as much attention to Habbo as they have given to Twitter

I think because Haboo had a slow growth, it began around 2000 and is still going at a slow pace but Twitter has really exploded in no time
I visited habbo and its like social interactive game where you can make friends and get noticed!
Nice one. And I too didn’t know that Haboo had more users than twitter.

Facebook had to be with the biggest area. Twitter is looking so small in front of Facebook but it will grow with time.

Nice map. How did you make it? Anyway nice work.
I would live in facebook and twitter land on the social networking map. Facebook and twitter represent the largest countries and the best profit generating possibilities.
Hey Shiva,
Can you please let me know what plugin are you using for the image opened as overlay?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your enlightenment about some new social networking sites which entered the internet world. But in my view, no other social networking site would spat YouTube and Facebook literally as these sites attracted and mesmerized the people by doing some incantations on their sites! Anyways, TY!
Nice to see this blog. A bit funny it is also but says true about the social networking going on now a days.
Nice informative blog. This is age of living social life without any boundary like geographic conditions.
