I agree with Carl, there are no real secrets with SEO. There are the SEO fundamentals that you need to learn and understand. Then there is the application of them. This, I feel is where most fail. They simply do not apply themselves with the application and persist with their efforts to see results.

I think that original content you are very right a lot of people think its just link building but you can have 8000 hits and only 3 pages of content you wount do very well.

Very effective tips especially for beginners. Going for low competition keywords and high monthly searches is the best thing on researching a keyword for your blog.
