Place ‘Like’ Buttons Next to Everything
If you haven’t caught on by now, Facebook is an extremely powerful tool for marketing your business. Some business can grow in popularity much more readily on Facebook than others; it typically helps to be selling a product or service that’s cool, interesting or can gather a following. If you’re trying to promote your product or business, you’re working on your facebook fan base and 1 way to do that is to promote with like buttons. Most people are familiar with the standard method of placing a like button on their home page or at the top of every page, but to take your facebook success to the next level you need to integrate more buttons.
Liking Products or Blog Posts
Now you can place a like button next to everything. Underneath each different product you have or next to each new post people can click a like button which will automatically post on their news feed. Now that this has happened, everyone who is a friend with this person will see what they have posted in their news feed, be able to comment and see what you do or sell. It’s an amazing way to get viral and have fans of your products expose what you do to everyone else that they connect with in the social media world. This was originally made more popular by Levi.com who’s sales skyrocketed after implementing this technique.
As you can see, this style of liking really creates a more comfortable, impulse type scenario where you would say, “Yeah, you know what, I like this!” You want to share the specific product or deal or blog post with your friends, and not just be a fan of the page. It fills a different role than the classic Facebook like button and is a must have for all websites and business owners.
How Do I Do It?
Facebook makes it as easy as possible for webmasters everywhere to understand how to implement these features into your own pages. It’s not for the completely inexperienced, but even the amateur developer can make it happen. If you need some additional direction, head over to your favorite search engine and do a quick search for “adding a like button to product pages” or something along those lines. You will be swarmed with a vast amount of material from forums and blogs where developers happily write to help you make it work. As always, if you’re completely stumped you can consult a professional developer, but whatever you do investigate the possibility of adding ‘Like’ buttons to individual pages as it may be the best free marketing exposure you’ve ever received.

I like this feature and it is right to have it. I usually try to press it. I wish my site would have the same button to press for everyone. I need to be as popular as Facebook. It means to do impossible.
For sure Dinara, why isn’t it easier to hundreds of millions of users…
If there are 2 separate pages about hiking shoes and both have 10 likes, 10 retweets and 10 +1′s, which of the page is more relevant?
The whole like and +1 issue is too black and white for me, life usually has a lot of grey tones.
I feel as though I see “like” buttons everywhere! Do you think that eventually this will irritate web surfers and stray away from sites that incorporate this Facebook feature? I guess it doesn’t hurt to test it out. Thanks for the information.
Like buttons are everywhere, but that is where everyone is. We post and tweet about everything these days, so it makes sense to give your readers this opportunity. Who knows, it may help with SEO (slightly). At the very least, it adds user friendliness to sites and blogs — and helps to get your name out there.

Yeah it is a fact that Google plus will become very important in the future. Google announced Circles yesterday and add few more articles on their official blogs.
I also like this button and I think that pressing this button takes so little time and effort but it is a great favor for other people.

This button is everywhere! I think that it’s great to show how popular something is based on added a simple button. Do you know if there’s going to be an option for a “dislike” button?

I agree with your point. There should be an dislike button as well to say something is bad….. don’t even try to look at it.
I think there sites that instead of ‘Like’, they have a thumbs up sign. And if otherwise, there’s the thumbs down sign which is actually kind of represents ‘Dislike’. I think Youtube have them.

Social media buttons like Facebook like, Twitter and Google Plus will become more and more important part. In one way it syndicate content, bring traffic, on the other side it build credibility if more people like the same thing.
Hi Cooperelling
We, as bloggers, know the importance of directing traffic in our sites. Otherwise, what we did would be useless. The “like” button is of great help. I know it gets a lot of traffic in your sites too.

I must say that like button is a simple ways to communicate with other people but can be as effective as it is. I think it can help us determine if our followers do appreciate everything we have for them.

I’ve been hearing a lot about facebook’s Like button. Facebook is not only about keeping in touch with friends but is also becoming one of the best networking site to market and advertise our business. After twitter and facebook buttons we also now have the Google button.

I really like the like button! My concern is that over time its going to become just yet another thing companies will click to high heaven making its value useless.
