Google celebrating Fifa World Cup with a new doodle

Google celebrating Fifa World Cup with a new doodle

It is known to all of us that Google Celebrates all the prominent events and festivals by putting up a new logo (called Doodles) which symbolizes that event.

We also know that the Fifa World Cup 2010 is going to be inaugurated today and Google has decided to celebrate the event with a new Doodle. The Doodle is currently showing in all the countries where it is already Friday 11th of June.

Like every time this Google Doodle also redirects to some page but unlike other times where Doodles redirects to a website/webpage which gives information about the event or festival, this time around the Google Doodle redirects to the  Google search results page for the keyword ‘Fifa World Cup’. And this time around the Google search result has something added to it. At the top of the search results you will see the day’s schedule of matches. You will also see the Team Groupings from Group A to Group H.

This means we won’t need to go on searching for the schedules of the current matches.

I am expecting many more exciting things happening this World Cup. What about you?

Not so long ago (last month) Google also had that wonderful Pacman doodle. I think that was one of the best doodles ever on the google search page. I think it was also the first interactive doodle that was released.
