Monthly Traffic Report For November 2010
Last month I was not able to share my blog’s traffic report due to some unforeseen reasons but this month I am going to share with you the traffic Report of Netchunks for the month of November 2010.
I have not been pretty much into blogging for the past 4 months due to some very bad things happening in the personal front, in November I have been trying to make a comeback. Even though I have wrote only 10 posts this month by myself (others being guest posts), I am slowly recovering and getting back into blogging and you will be seeing a lot more posts from me from this month onwards. I thank all my guest posters in the month of November for helping me out to keep this blog alive. Also I would like to extend an apology to all my readers to whose comments I have not been able to reply most of the times. You will be seeing more activity from me now on from this month and I assure you (Most of) your comments will be replied.
Traffic Report for the Month of November
November Traffic has been great for Netchunks and I have got atleast 30% increase in the traffic of my blog this month. All thanks to my guest bloggers and my readers.
As you can see there has been an increase in the pageviews and visits this month compared to 8989 visits and 13475 Pageviews in October but the bounce rate and Time on Site is very low on which I will surely be working this month.
Moving to the traffic sources:
Almost 54% has been Search Engine traffic of which Google Accounts for 52%. Other main traffic sources have been Facebook, WordPress.org, Twitter and StumbleUpon. I will be trying to get bring traffic from other sites too this month as well as increase my organic traffic.
I hope this time around in the Month of December I will be able to increase my Unique Visitors to at least 13,000-14,000 and get my bounce rate lower. I am also planning to hold a contest or two pretty soon in the blog so do stay tuned and updated through our feeds or social media sites like Twitter and Facebook

Great work Shiva.
Its good to have a backup plan for when things might go wrong so that your blog stays alive. Then you will be prepared for a worst case scenario. I learnt this the hard way.

Where is your referral traffic source on WordPress? Are people searching for your site from wordpress, or are there directories you’re listed in? I’ve never thought of WordPress being an actual source of traffic but you seem to be doing very well with it. Thanks

Well actually it is from the WordPress.org forum, I had answered some of their queries with the link to my posts, that does give a good amount of traffic

Rohit, the bounce rate is high because I have no specific niche…like for example your is iPod Touch so it is more particularized but mine is too general, I write about everything here like Small Business, Blogging, WordPress, Internet, Freebies, so many people come searching only for genre specific information and they do not have any interest in other genre information so they bounce off. It was my mistake when I first started this blog to not make a niche specific blog but well now there is no chance to change the niche since I will be destroying all my traffic and backlinks while doing so. Probably this is going to stay a non-niche blog

The most important statistic that you show is the stat that shows over 50 percent of people that find your blog is through search engines. That is how you want people to find your site because that means either they are looking for you or looking for a blog that is similar to yours.

Really good traffic. You should take care of the bounce rate. Try to increase no of related posts. Use thumbnail along with the title. It might help you.

Congrats Shiva. This is the first time you reveal your revenue and I think it maybe not high as you expect but quite enough for other like me. I am restart blogging with new niche and domain. Your suggestion and what you have experienced is very worthy to me.
Why do not you change your niche as soon as possible in case your blog old is only under one year or you can sell it other and star a new road?

Bounce rate is also my big problem. My blog also doesn’t have a specific niche, so it is not easy to decrease this number.
