Monthly Traffic Report – August 2010 & Ya! I am Back!!
From this month onwards, I am going to post the monthly traffic report of Netchunks at the end of each month since it will be helpful for me as my readers in checking the growth of the blog.
Netchunks has till now completed 8 months. Last month that is August, I was not at all active in blogging since I was going through a bad patch in my personal life. At one point of time I was even thinking of closing down Netchunks or selling it. But well things changed as time went by and I decided not to quit. This month onwards I will be taking blogging even more seriously and will try to take Netchunks to greater heights.
Also I would like to inform you that Netchunks was able to get into the list of Junta42 Top Content Marketing Blogs in the Internet at Position Number 102, which makes me feel that Netchunks has atleast been doing some what fine. Thanks a lot for the support guys.
Netchunks Traffic Report for August 2010
Netchunks has been growing at a slow rate but still I am happy because the growth is a balanced and organic growth. I wish I could give more effort on the blog but I am not able to, due to my full time job.
Last month in August, we only had 10 post at Netchunks and almost all of them were guest posts so Yes, the traffic growth of Netchunks has been quite low during the last month and I know the growth could have been even more. I am thankful to my readers who were visiting my blog even though the blog was not alive.
Google Analytics Traffic Report:
Unique Visitors: 7,101
Visits: 9,382
Pageviews: 16,202
Bounce: 66.84%
I still have a lot to work on my bounce rate and my traffic.
As you can see about almost half of the traffic is organic. I hope so I can raise it to 75% within 3-4 months.
Alexa Traffic Details
The Alexa Ranking of Netchunks has been Swaying between – 31,000-29,000 for the last one month.
I am hopeful this time around I will be able to get the traffic rank of Netchunks under 25,000 within this month.
Ok, Once again I would like to say that I am back from a long blogging break and now I am back with full vigor. I am very thankful for all the support you have show for my blog even though I was not at all active. Now lets hope for the best this month.

Shiva, i think that you are one who should decide the niche. You should evaluate yourself, check in which niche you are good and then decide what niche suits you.

Shiv that’s good stats for a site in such short time. You need to fight with one thing that will improve and increase other stats as well. Bounce Rate. Though bounce rate is a major problem for most of us (bloggers). Over all keep it up. Hard work will pay you.

I would say it is not bad.. I’m also getting 61.09% Bounce rate. I had around 40% last month

60% bounce rate is ok . It will increase with the number of hits , keeping it below 60 % is a challenge for those whose visitor landing page is not the homepage .

You are right aatif bounce rate is high. The thing is that bounce rate becomes lower if you have a targeted niche blog but when it is a multi niche blog like mine the bounce rate automatically increases. People who come in search of one topic do not feel interested in the posts related to other niche so the bounce is high.

But I completely suprised with this report, you get traffic of nearly 10K in a month and you have alexa rank of 30K ..
Whereas in my blog @ Scientia Magazine, I get nearly 1000 users per day – nearly 25K user per month, but still the Alexa is 20K and which is decreasing on steady pace.

Bro, I think you need to work more on the Backlinks building part, the SEO part. BTW Alexa does not matter much….my Alexa is low because almost all of my readers are bloggers and many of them have the Alexa toolbar installed so that brings my alexa down even more……

I am suprised to find 9K users per month can result in 30K alexa whereas 25K users per month has resulted in 200K Alexa rank.. which is going down and down

Although your Alexa Rank is nearly 30.000 (which is a good number), your daily page view is only 522. in other words this number of pageview seems to me so low according to your Alexa Rank.(of course this is my opinion). What do you or the people who have a website think about this??? Regards..

Yup dude, my SE traffic is quite low, I really do not get much time to do SEO due to my full time job….Blogging is currently just a part time business for me but I am planning to go full time pretty soon.
