Guide To Improving Cellphone Reception

| June 14, 2010 | 9 Comments More

The cause of poor reception is based on the fact that more than three-quarters of the world population enjoys cellphone ownership. This has put pressure on wireless networks to try to meet the network coverage setbacks. While it is possible to erect many field boosters to improve reception, this has economic implications on network companies and may even lead to disruption of radio communication where many of these are constructed. But there are basic simple ways to change all this, keep these tips in mind.

Phones Consume More Power During Calls

The first thing is to always ensure that the battery more than quarter way full when making a call in poor reception areas. This is because directing a call to the other end uses more power than when the phone is inert or is being used in other ways. A fully charged battery has a virtual implication to getting a stronger signal.

Are You In a Busy Street?

Another basic method of improving reception is making calls outdoors, and in busy cities, trying to find a less bustling lane that gives better reception.

Take Things In Your Hands

Remember we talked about companies having to spend a lot of money to install field booster, since they won’t be doing that anytime soon, you can install your own mobile signal repeater, which though applicable to only one network, can boost the signal in the cellphone from the outside when installed on a roof. Furthermore they improve battery performance which in turn translates to better call connectivity.
