Yes, it is a very great idea! I salute this organization that have thought of this idea of recycling old phones. It can really help in saving our environment and of course us, humans, from the effects of improper disposing of old phones. And another good thing in this is, as we recycle our old phones, we can get cash…So, if you are thinking that it is only a waste of time, you’re wrong because you can have something in return when you only take time on this.

Sidduz, this is great. After reading your article, I went on a search, and there are some companies in the United States that does this, as well. Just wanted to let your American readers know that they can recycle the cell phones over here, too.
There are also some groups that take the old cellphones and give them to soldiers, battered spouses, or other needy groups like this. I have always recycled my cell’s batteries, but I did not ever think about the phone. I didn’t throw them away, though, so I was at least environmentally conscious of the bad that can happen by putting them into landfills. I “recycled” them in my own way: removed and recycled the battery, and then gave phone to my son to play with, so he could have his own “real” wireless phone. Seemed like a better idea than disposing of it. ha/ha

I’m glad that while everyone else is writing about social media, sales marketing, etc., someone took the time to write something about recycling. We can never take out ourselves from the environment. Our actions will dictate if earth will be a better place to live in.

This a great post! I really like blogs that the main concern is about our environment. Anyway recycling is indeed necessary for mobile phones, it really cause a great damage to our environment. One of the phone company used to have this recycle shop where you can donate your old mobile phone for good.

Not just your phones, but all technology as well. When we moved apartments in LA, we got a new TV. My roommate wanted to throw out our TV, but she didn’t think about the effects it would have on the environment. We found a company that actually paid us to come get it, and it was money well-made.
I guess the title says it all. Honestly though, I keep every mobile phone I have. Why? Because phones rarely last through the 2 year contract, so I just hang on to them. They make great toys for my kids as well.
As far as other electronics, especially computers, there are companies like globaltek that break down and sell off parts. Its pretty unreal. If you bring in a computer, they will buy it off you, and then strip out the working parts (motherboard, processor, whatever) and then sell those to individual companies for a profit. Moral: recycling definitely makes money. That’s for sure.

I think that this is a great idea. Simply disposing of your mobile phone could be harmful to the environment. It is better to recycle your mobile phones so that the environmental waste can be reduced.
I’m really inspired by the method of Recycling Mobile Phones. It’s good to have phone and earn from it when it becomes old. Some interesting statistics, I guess it’s easy to put an old phone in the drawer, using an excuse like I’m saving it as a backup, but we then normally end up having 2 or 3 in there. In all fairness we should all get involved with mobile phone recycling, as it helps the environment and we can make a bit of cash too. Some of the mobile phone recycling sites can even pay you in Gift Vouchers for old mobile phones at a price greater than the cash value they would offer. So you can use these in many high street stores and you’ll effectively save money but definitely be getting more cash for your mobile.
