Adobe Creative Suite 5 Launched
Adobe today launched the Creative Suite (CS) 5 in a live web event. The new version of Adobe’s Creative Suite besides containing the newer versions of its main line of applications i.e. Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Premiere Pro also contains Flash Player 10.1, Adobe AIR 2, a new product Flash Catalyst along with many other Products. Also Flash Builder 4 (previously called Flex Builder) is also included with CS5. CS5 has more than 250+ new features.
There are five editions of Creative Suite 5: Web Premium, Production Premium, Design Standard, Design Premium and the Master Collection. Adobe is introducing CS Live, an online service which will work within the CS5 applications.
Everything in CS5 is now 64 bit (including both Windows and Mac) with Premiere and After Effects being 64 bit only.
The main fact is that Adobe with its CS5 has enabled developers to come up with applications for all kind of platforms like PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets etc using technologies like Flash and other Adobe technologies easily.

- New Text Layout Framework in Flash Professional CS5 provides professional-level typography capabilities with functions like kerning, ligatures, tracking, leading, threaded text block and multiple columns.
- New stroke options in Illustrator CS5 allow users to create strokes of variable widths and precisely adjust the width at any point along the stroke.
- The NVIDIA® GPU accelerated Adobe Mercury Playback Engine allows Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 users to open projects faster, refine effects-rich HD sequences in real time and play back complex projects without rendering.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 and its associated point products are scheduled to ship within 30 days, with availability through Adobe Authorized Resellers, the Adobe Store and Adobe Direct Sales.

Adobe has certainly seem to have developed CS5 as a extreme and highly feature-packed application pack for developers and designers. I personally cannot wait to get my hands even on the trails. Are you sure, that all CS5 products are 64 bit?? If thats the case they will never work with 32 bit , I think they would have developed two versions one for 32 and other for 64. Because they cannot withdraw support for 32 bit pcs.

They said all will be 64 bit…damn…yes and it wont work in 32 bit PCs that means it wont be supported even in my PC
…That is very bad. I am not sure why Adobe is ignoring many people who have 32 bit??
OK I just found out from the Adobe Support forum, they are saying that only Photoshop CS5 and 2 more CS5 applications are 64Bit. All other apps are 32bit. But still this is bad cos we mainly need PS

I believe they are also compatible with 32-bit. I’m not sure but I really can’t imagine why they would come up with something that would only be compatible with 64-bit OSs.
