8 Ways To Get More Backlinks
So, you want backlinks, right. Let me give some tips to you or rather I would say 8 ways to get backlinks. Before starting the article, I have to make it clear that nothing in this world is easy, till you reach the top. Oh! Sorry have a look on the general definition of backlink.

Backlinks are the most part important part of SEO (Search Engine optimization), which gives a website or blog good ranking in search engines.
General definition: Suppose a person has many friends then obviously he/she is more famous than a person who has less friends. Same way with websites and blogs.
Ok, now lets come back to the topic, look at the title, yes it is “8 ways to get more backlinks”. Let me start.
#1.Commenting: Oh my god Once again commenting! You must have read about it on lots of blogs. Hmmm, commenting is the best way to get backlinks. Try to comment on High PR blogs for quality backlinks. Some examples are 2createawebsite, quicksprout, and problogger etc.
#2. Guest posting: Yeah, again very similar, but what to do, they are extremely important methods of getting backlinks. Guest posting is another best way to get quality backlinks and also gain more exposure to your blog. Yes, I am damn sure after reading this article you definitely visit my blog.

#3. Manual linking: Don’t know what is manual linking? Ohh come on you know it very well, manual linking means dropping link in big websites or shall I say social media websites (You can do it in other websites too). For example once you created a profile on Facebook, then you can definitely use the website column and add a link to your website.. Some common website for such works are flickr, facebook, blogger, Google Plus, LinkedIn etc.
#5. Theme sponsoring: I know its takes money, but a little bit of investment will reap you high benefits. A single theme gives 100′s or even 1000′s of backlinks in a short period of time. And it is a continous process. For this contact a theme designer and sponsor the theme.
#6. Write a review: Ohh yes, this is the one tips many do not know to take proper advantage of, writing review for the hungry marketers also gives backlinks. If some one asks for writing a review for his/her products immediately ask for a backlink. And what next the marketers will be ready.
#7. Participate in a blogroll: Yes, it is so simple, but used rarely now, but are still effective, Whenever you visit a blog and see the blogroll widget, then the next thing is to send a mail to the administrator of the blog, asking for your link on his/her blog and yes you have to give back on your blog/website.
#8.Design/Develop if you can: This is not for all bloggers or webmaster. If you are a designer or Developer than you can take full advantage of your skill. Design a theme or icons or a build a plugin. If you are a programmer, build a unique plugin and give it for free for the sake of backlinks. Well, you can generate cash too if you want

I’ve learned something new here. I am currently using Blogspot platform for my blogs and actually I noticed some links in the footer section. Is that what you call the “Theme Sponsoring”?
Participating in a blogroll is good but not much effective in the long run because they often remove the widget.

Amongst all the methods the most effective method IMO is the Guest posting. Guest posting is a great way to build quality backlinks and the quickest way to get recognized yourself as an author by other bloggers. Secondly, guest posting helps you to brand your business and gain trust of other bloggers and their site visitors. You can drive a lot of visitors to your blog via the guest blogging method.
I didn’t see article marketing in your list. While the robots are getting more and smarter, article marketing is still the best way to have legit backlinks and also traffic.
Yep! Article marketing is a really good way to get good backlinks…also, you get to set the context of the page, which makes those links more valuable.

Commenting is my prime way of building links, I have done some guest post in the past but I hadn’t had enough time to do others. Developing a theme or plugin will be great for building links but this is not that easy.

Regarding commenting, it’s important though, not to comment too much, otherwise google will mark you as spammer

I have had great success with article marketing, though I think the recent Panda update has hurt a lot of the big article distribution sites.
Theme sponsoring might be a good way to get links. But for me, I think the best way is to do guest blogging. It is both rewarding (you get links) and satisfying to see people commenting on your guest post.

You forgot forum posting. Its one of my favorite way to get dofollow backlinks from the signature. But be careful, do not over do it when posting, because the admins may see you as spam. Write only quality constructive posts.
